What is a virtual conference?

Due to the impacts of COVID-19 and the travel restrictions imposed, AHF has decided to take their in-person conference to a virtual conference. The virtual conference will offer the educational component with the opportunity to earn continuing education credits, the social component through networking and small break out groups, and the virtual exhibit hall/Marketplace that allows participants to ‘meet’ with AHF Business Partner companies virtually.
Imagine participating from the convenience of your home office, at your preferred time, over a span of 4-weeks. This is a new way for us to offer professional development and networking, and we hope you decide to participate with us!

When does registration open?

The virtual registration will be opening soon. Please check back on our website and social media.

Can non-members participate?

Yes, AHF allows non-member operators to participate. However, we do not allow operator employees of contract management firms to participate. AHF is a national association working to promote and further the best interest of self-operated facilities and employees.

How do I join AHF?

Joining AHF as a member is easy. It can be done online here. You can also contact our staff at info@healthcarefoodservice.org to ask questions and get assistance with becoming a member. Registration for our annual conference is then discounted for you and any other Operators from your facility who you add to your membership.

What does the registration fee cover?

Full conference registration covers all educational sessions, networking breaks, access to the virtual exhibit hall, and recordings.

Are there ways to get assistance attending?

Yes, AHF provides as many scholarships as possible to help Operator members participate in conferences. While scholarships are limited, you can also use Real Rewards Cafe (RRC) points to pay for your registration fee thanks to a partnership between AHF and RRC. Check how many points your facility has with RRC to get yourself registered for the conference free of charge.

It's my first time registering for an AHF conference, what can I expect?

We are excited you will be joining us in our inaugural virtual conference! We hope you find the sessions valuable, social hours to be fun and engaging, and  you walk away from this experience with new knowledge and tools to help you in your daily operations. Past participants have often shared that AHF’s conferences are a great way to get a break, recharge, and meet new AHF members!  AHF works hard to create great, easy, networking opportunities so you walk away with new friends to come back and see next year!

Does the conference offer continuing education credits (CEUs)?

Yes! We offer continuing education credits for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP), and American Culinary Federation (ACF).  The total number of credits offered has not been finalized, but we estimate 8-12 CEUs.
