It’s time to show us your culinary talent!
AHF’s Culinary Competition is the pinnacle event for AHF chef teams. This is a chance to show your culinary talent in front of hundreds for AHF members, sponsors, and leaders. Each year AHF accepts submission from our community and selects 5 teams of 2 competitors to join us live at our Annual Conference to compete. All entries must be submitted before the deadline to be considered. The Culinary committee will review all submissions in a blinded selection process and 5 finalist teams will be selected to move to the next round.

What form of sorghum should be used in Market Basket B?
Whole grain form.
If you don't use a protein from Market Basket A, can you use a different protein not listed?
No; if you are choosing to use an animal protein, chicken breast (boneless) or grouper must be the protein of choice.
Are you limited to how many items you can use in Basket B?
No, there is not a maximum, but you are required to use 3 items in Basket B; you can use more if you wish to. Be intentional about it.
Can you apply to compete with another member in a sister facility?
No, both team members must be from the same facility. Two teams from the same system may apply separately.
Can one team submit more than one recipe?
Yes, this has been done in previous years.
How many portions are you expected to prepare?
When will the applicants find out if their team has been selected as one of the finalist 5 teams?
Teams will be notified by July 24, 2020. From there, the finalist teams will need to submit their short video before August 7th.
How many teams compete?
There are 5 teams of 2.
Can the mystery ingredient be free of common allergens?
Yes, the committee will keep that in consideration when selecting.
