Airport: The airport is 15 miles from the hotel and attendees should plan for 20-45 minutes travel time to and from the airport depending on traffic. Check with the hotel for more specific details.
Parking: Hyatt Regency New Orleans offers premium valet services. On-site parking is limited and subject to availability. There are several nearby parking lots, including the 1301 Girod Parking Garage that connects directly to the hotel. Contact Merit Parking to confirm pricing at +1 504 561 0575.
Included Meals & Extras
As you plan your trip to New Orleans, we want to be sure that you know what is included in your registration. AHF strives to provide a relaxed “all-inclusive” experience for our attendees. Once you arrive, we hope you won’t have to worry about much other than learning and networking! All full registration passes include meals and snacks beginning with the Opening Reception on Thursday, August 21st, and ending with Celebrate AHF: Gala Dinner and Reception on Saturday, August 23rd. Coffee and snacks are offered throughout, and breakfast and lunch are offered on Friday and Saturday.

Map Out Your Tradeshow Experience
Our Tradeshow is your chance to impress your administration, ease your labor issues, and implement new innovations. Our sponsors and exhibitors are poised to provide curated products, services, and expertise specific to self-operators. Please support them by planning your tradeshow time. AHF’s Tradeshow is 3.5 hours and you will not have time to speak to all 115 sponsors, the best plan is to map out which sponsors you wish to see in advance.
The Most Value Comes from Having a Plan!
- What products/services: Do you need? Are you considering? Are you just interested in?
- Use the Business Partner Directory in your registration bag to find sponsors offering what you need.
- Use the mobile app to learn more about sponsors and make a list of who you want to visit.
- Message sponsors in the app to set meetings during or outside of the tradeshow.
- If attending with colleagues, split your list between team members to cover more ground.
- Save time to have fun and explore!

Registration & Badge Pickup
Attendees will be asked to pick up their badge during the designated registration hours. The registration desk will be located outside of the Empire Ballroom near the front escalators. A conference badge is required to attend all AHF sessions, receptions, and area activities.
- If you have a Tradeshow only pass, you will be required to show a wristband to enter the Opening Reception. Email registration@healthcarefoodservice.org to add an Opening Reception ticket to your registration.
- If you are a guest of an attendee, you will be required to show a wristband to any reception you have purchased a ticket to, or your “All access pass” if you bought a ticket to all three receptions.

Safety Tips
To stay safe at any conference location, we recommend that attendees follow some basic safety tips:
- Don’t go out at night alone without a partner, friend, or colleague.
- Don’t wear your badge outside of AHF events when browsing through the city/area as you would be more easily identifiable as a tourist.
- Check with the hotel concierge about any unsafe areas of town on anything else you should be aware of when taking part in tourist activities.
- Practice general safety by locking hotel room doors and behaving cautiously.
- Notify AHF management or the hotel of any concerns immediately.
We look forward to meeting safely. We are working closely with our meeting planning professionals, the hotel, and our partners/vendors to ensure we provide a safe environment that meets local, state, building, and CDC procedures. Mobile App
Operators are encouraged to use our mobile app to interact with business partners throughout conference to earn points and win game prizes! You’ll gain the most points by visiting sponsor booths during the Friday Tradeshow.
CEU (Continuing Education) Details
AHF will be requesting up to 17.5 earnable CEUs at this year’s National Conference, of which 3.5 will be tradeshow hours. These have not yet been approved. Certificates of attendance for CEU submission will be provided for each accrediting body after the conclusion of the event. CEUs will be offered through the following credentialing bodies:
- Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) – Estimating up to 17.5 total earnable hours (This includes some sign-up only activities like Folgers tour).
- American Culinary Federation (ACF) – Estimating up to 17.5 total earnable hours (This includes some sign-up only activities like Folgers tour).
- Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) – Estimating up to 14 total earnable hours (This includes some sign-up only activities like Folgers tour).
Please note that CDR does not accredit tradeshow hours.

Guest Tickets & Rules
AHF offers guest passes to one or more of our evening receptions for attendees bringing spouses, friends, or family. Guest passes may not be used for regular attendees or additional attendees of vendor companies, etc. Those individuals must register at the appropriate rate above as standard attendees. Guest passes can be added during registration. Or by emailing registration@healthcarefoodservice.org.
- Guest Ticket – All Meals Package (access to all three receptions): $400
- Guest Ticket – Opening Reception: $160
- Guest Ticket – Culinary Competition: $120
- Guest Ticket – Celebrate AHF: $150
AHF Operator Raffle
- Operators will receive points using our mobile app for completing actions in the mobile app. More points will be awarded for sponsor and exhibitor activities like “favoriting” a vendor or viewing their mobile app profile. Points will be given for other actions throughout the mobile app.
- AHF will distribute sponsor-contributed raffle prizes to the winners. The number of operators we distribute to will depend on how many raffle prizes we receive.
- Operators can select the gifts they receive based on their ranking. The game, and points collection, will run from the time the mobile app opens until the end of the tradeshow on Friday. AHF will start emailing winners Friday afternoon to ensure coordination of prizes by the of the day on Saturday.
Code of Conduct
AHF is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants, staff, vendors, or others in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference and/or the property without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers and property staff. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. Any individual working for or associated with a Sponsor is subject to the conference code of conduct at all times. AHF staff, vendors, leaders, and venue staff will be treated with respect at all times. Name calling and other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
