
Emily Patton PhD, RDN, CD
Brigham Young UniversityEmily Patten completed her Bachelor’s in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, and Masters of Nutritional Science at Brigham Young University. Next, she worked as a clinical dietitian and then administrative dietitian for Intermountain Health. She earned her PhD in Human Ecology with a specialization in Administrative Dietetics from Kansas State University in 2016. Emily is currently an associate professor at Brigham Young University where she teaches dietetics students and pursues her research focused on amplifying the contribution of dietetics practitioners and expanding the dietetics workforce capacity. She is also the coauthor of Foodservice Organizations: A Managerial and Systems Approach, 10th edition. She lives in Provo, UT with her husband and three children.
