Valerie Herrera is a retired U.S. Public Health Service officer, U.S. Navy veteran who served as a certified welder, and a recognized expert in healthcare safety, operations, and regulatory compliance. As Vice President for Support Services at ANTHC, she oversees essential healthcare operations through a collaborative framework focused on high reliability and operational excellence to ensure safe and effective systems. With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Valerie cultivates high-performance teams grounded in trust and accountability, guiding strategic initiatives aligned with operations to achieve measurable and sustainable outcomes. Valerie holds an MPH from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health. She is also a Dare to Lead-trained professional, a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), and a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS).
