A Native Texan with 25 years of F&B Experience, including 10 years with Marriott, Chris is a Charter Member of the JW Marriott San Antonio and started his career here with the restaurant team in December 2009. He went on to gain valuable experience in the Rooms Department as the Director of Services from 2017 – 2019. Chris left the resort in 2019 to garner experience in the Finance World as an above property Director of Operations Planning and Scheduling for San Antonio/Houston market full-service Marriott properties until the pandemic forced an early departure from this role in March 2020.
Chris rejoined the Marriott family in August 2022 as the Director of Restaurants and looks forward to mentoring and serving the outlet departments in the future. He has developed a reputation for mentoring leaders and building successful teams. Being a servant leader is what Chris strives to be every day and he looks for opportunities to teach & share his experience in hospitality with others. Chris credits much of his success to the great leaders and associates that he’s had the good fortune to work with throughout his career.
When not at work, Chris loves to enjoy the outdoors, cook, hike, lounge, listen to live music, go to State Parks, enjoy the many Texas rivers and spend time with his family. Chris has 4 Children and has been married for 14 years to his wife, Michelle. His favorite place to travel to is Napa Valley and he enjoys visiting as many wineries as possible.
