Christine Hartney is the Director of Clinical Nutrition Services for RUSH University Medical Center and RUSH Oak Park Hospital. Her expertise is in clinical nutrition care and nutrition regulations, menu development, food service system computer programs, and dietetics education. Christine previously served as the Chair for the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) in 2018. She is actively involved in several initiatives at RUSH around food insecurity, sustainability, and use of technology and informatics to streamline patient care. Christine started her career as a Clinical Dietitian at RUSH University Medical Center focusing on oncology, general medicine, and critically ill neurology patients. Christine completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at RUSH University.
