Jessica Shelly is the Director of Student Dining Services for Cincinnati Public Schools, overseeing 60,000 daily meals served by 328 school nutrition heroes at 66 schools. Jessica has received many accolades for her work in school nutrition, most recently receiving the 2023 IFMA Gold Plate Award, 2023 FAME Golden School Nutrition Director Award, and 2023 USDA Gold “Turnip the Beet” Award. Jessica is a trailblazer in area of school nutrition with unique implementation at Cincinnati Public Schools such as Farm to School bars, cultural spice stations, hydration stations, reimbursable meal vending machines, Life Time Foundation’s Clean Label Initiative, and the Good Food Purchasing Program. Jessica holds a BA from Miami University and MBA from University of Cincinnati where she was the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year. Jessica serves on many Boards including School Nutrition Association, Culinary Institute of America Healthy Kids Collaborative, International Food Manufacturers Association K-12 Advisory, Scratch Works Policy Advisory, Chef Ann Foundation, and International Fresh Produce Foundation.
